Dance Factory (Arlington, Virginia): About Our Facility & History

About Our Facility & History

Founded in 1976 by Dennis Schroeder, the Dance Factory has taught Ballroom, Latin, Swing, and Salsa lessons through thousands of inexpensive private and group lessons. Our short-term, low-fee courses have attracted more than half a million in attendance and counting.

We are one of the most established and popular independent studios on the East Coast. Our superb staff—sporting Local, National, North American and World Champions—have attained Top Studio awards 3 years running, putting ours in the top 3% of Ballroom dance studios in the country.

The Dance Factory has been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. We’ve even held weekly TV lessons on WJLA and have been broadcast internationally on Voice of America.

We keep our lessons fun and easy! Maybe that’s why they’re so popular! More than 30 courses a week are offered in our 5 separate teaching areas on our 3,500-square-foot cushioned ballroom floor.

We’re located next to the Virginia Square Metro, in Arlington, Virginia.
