Excellent location. I frequently commute to the DC area for dance lessons. The Dance Factory has some of the most highly respected dance teachers in the DC metro area. I highly recommend them.

As a former Arthur Murray student, I was concerned giving a new studio a try. After visiting Dance Factory, all those fears went away! There were no ridiculously expensive contracts, no high-pressure sales, just dancing and a lot of fun! All of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this studio to the beginner or an advanced dancer. There are lots of classes, multiple instructors... If you have ever wanted to give dancing a try, you should definitely check this place out!!!

My fiance and I started with the beginner series of classes to prepare for our wedding. We intended only to take a few group classes, but we enjoyed it so much we took private lessons to prepare a first dance. Our instructor was wonderful; he was patient, knowledgeable, and very talented. The staff seems to really enjoy what they do. Our first dance went great! It was such a memorable experience! My husband and I have continued dancing. We are now regulars at the Dance Factory. We attend their Friday party weekly; it gives us a chance to learn new moves and practice what we have learned. Dancing is now an activity that he and I can do together! Thank you, Dance Factory!!!

Took wedding dance lessons with my husband. We weren't looking for any crazy choreography—just something basic so we didn't look ridiculous. [Our instructor] was very patient, helpful, and fun to work with. I would definitely recommend working with him.

The studio is awesome for beginners with Ballroom I through VII classes and they give you a choice of several dances from Swing, Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Cha Cha, Rumba... Learning several dances at a time reinforces the concepts and really helped me gain confidence. The best thing I like about the lessons is that they are broken down to manageable steps. I can actually remember something and can dance on my own outside the class. This means a lot to me as I learned in several other places before. I could dance in a class but remained clueless once the lessons were over. The staff is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is just great. Everyone is trying so hard and just so interested in learning and having so much fun.

My wife and I started taking classes (at the Dance Factory) about a year and a half ago to learn how to dance for our "first dance" wedding ceremony. We were convinced that although the group lessons (they offer) are good, we'd get more out of the private lessons. I've taken group lessons in the past so it was evident to me I'd get a whole lot more out of private lessons. Let me tell you it is worth every penny. Although Dance Factory is quite a busy place (they hold group and private lessons, and host dance parties) it is possible to get the time slot you desire for lessons. They are open until 10PM most days and all weekend as well. If you're looking for a place where you can really gain dancing skills and have a great time doing it, the Dance Factory is that place.

As a New Year resolution to start exercising more and as a Christmas gift to me, my husband and I started taking dance classes (at the Dance Factory) about a year and a half ago. Let's just say I (though not necessarily he) am hooked. Dancing engages the mind and body whole-hog and leaves room for nothing else. The best part about the Dance Factory is its large wooden dance floor, friendly people (dancers and staff alike), and the Friday Night Parties. For ($12), you get free lessons (the dances vary each week), dancing from 7 to 10:30PM. That's a cheap date in my book! If you're a brave soul (we have yet to try!), you can showcase your (dancing) talents twice a year in the Spring and Fall Showcases.

I finally started taking lessons when I realized living vicariously through dance movies wasn't working for me anymore. I take private lessons with a great teacher [who] has a good sense of humor which helps when I'm feeling totally uncoordinated. Also he doesn't get annoyed at all when he has to tell me to put my hip over the foot for like the 10000th time! All the instructors here seem really professional and the studio has a good vibe.

Fun lessons and parties. Excellent location, near Metro exit. The staff is friendly and the private lessons are affordable. You can learn more in a private lesson than a group class, although both are fun.

This is a really great place to learn Ballroom dancing. I would highly recommend it for beginners. You get to be exposed to many dance forms and meet lots of other people interested in learning to dance. And there are lots of fun parties to attend. But be careful, it can be addicting. No, don't be careful, it's fun to be addicted to dance.
